ABOUT
Elizabeth Scheeler is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has experience working with adults, adolescents, and families.
I recognize that there are multiple solutions to any problem and that what works well for one person won’t necessarily work for another. Therapy is a collaborative and evolving process with you actively involved from start to finish.
I am certified in CBT for Insomnia, which is considered the gold standard for treating insomnia as it provides long lasting results even to those who have struggled with sleep for many years.
Taking that first step and calling for a consultation takes courage. I look forward to talking with you about your needs and treatment goals.
I understand that we all have things in life that we need help dealing with or working through, and that sometimes our emotions seem to be steering the ship, with us simply along for the ride. Whether you are experiencing feelings of sadness, anxiety, anger, fear, or a combination of all of them, I provide a safe, non-judgmental, confidential space for you to get the support and guidance you are seeking.
My approach to counseling is eclectic, empathetic, and respectful. I appreciate the uniqueness of each individual and strongly believe that building a trusting therapeutic relationship is key to helping you reach your personal goals of healing and change.
As an animal lover, I welcome (house-trained) companion and service animals accompanying you to treatment.
